Privacy policy

Your pet knows how you move. Nobody else does.

Effective 20 October 2026

Apple Health

With your permission, Wristlings reads the following from Apple Health on your Apple Watch: steps, wheelchair pushes, active calories, exercise minutes, stand hours, walking and running distance, flights climbed, workouts, sleep and mindful minutes. It also reads whether you use a wheelchair.

This data is used only to grow and animate your pet. It is processed on your devices and never sent to us or to anyone else. Wristlings does not write anything to Apple Health. You can change these permissions at any time in the Health app or in Settings.

Location and weather

If you allow it, Wristlings uses your approximate location to show the local weather in your pet’s habitat. Before anything leaves your watch, the location is rounded to about 10 km. That rounded position is sent to Open-Meteo, a free weather service, to get the current weather. No account or identifier is sent with it. If you don’t allow location, the habitat simply shows clear skies.

Your iPhone

The iPhone app gets your pet’s status straight from your Apple Watch over Apple’s WatchConnectivity, which runs between your own devices. There is no Wristlings server.

Game Center and purchases

If you use Game Center, Apple handles your achievements under Apple’s privacy policy. If you buy the optional Supporter Pack, Apple handles the payment. We never see your payment details.

Sharing

Share cards are created on your device. They leave it only when you choose to share or save one.

Storage and deletion

Your pet, collection and history are stored on your devices. Deleting the app deletes this data.

Children

Wristlings collects no personal data from anyone, including children.
